“It’s really about the time you spend in your day and the quality of the work you put into it.
You can have an amazing game, but it won’t necessarily be successful if you spend more time making it than you do putting it together.”
That’s something that has struck Lee off his path, with only one successful game (a quirky, fun-filled puzzler called Pictionary) to his name, and he believes that the real reason people go into game development are not for money.
“I’m a big believer that what you do is what’s really important.
You’re just working with the right people.
You should spend as little time on marketing and promotion as possible,” he says.
“If you’re working on your own it’s like, ‘Okay, I’m going to do it on my own, I’ve got my own team, I got a bunch of ideas and I’m just going to build a game’.”
There are a lot more things that come in a game that make it better.
You need to have a really good understanding of the game, of the genre you’re creating, the mechanics of the gameplay, the visual style of the art style, the music style, everything.
“What makes a good game?
Lee is convinced that there are two important things that can be put into a game.
One is a story, which can be set in a specific space or time.
The other is an art style.”

Lee hopes that as developers we will be able to create games that appeal to different players, because the best way to get people to play your game is to make it good.
“People really like to see good games that have a lot going for them.
If it’s good enough, then people will want to play it,” he adds.
Lee says that in order to create a good experience, it is important that the developers focus on the design and not just the mechanics.
“You can have a great story, but you don’t need to spend time on the mechanics to make that story good,” he explained.
“I think we’re going to need to focus on designing our mechanics and making them look good.”
The best game is the one that can tell a story that people can relate to.
“Most of the games I make have some sort of an emotional component,” Lee said.
“It might not be as complex as some of the great stories in the history of the world, but there are definitely moments in games that you don.e the story and that really resonates with people.”
The game you make will have to tell a compelling story, and that story is going to have to be about something that people relate to, and not about some random story.
“Lee believes that developers should make sure that their games feel “right for their target audience”.”
I think a lot will depend on what people want to be able do in a given environment.
If they want to use the console, then they’ll be able use the game.
If not, then it’s going have to have something that you can’t do, but can be a good alternative to the console,” he added.

When I made Pictionary, the game was so simple that I could tell a lot about the game,” he told me.

Lee has previously said that a game should be “easy to learn” and that it should be easy to “play”.
“There’s a lot to it.
It needs to be fun to play, but also something that is hard to do.”
Lee has found that many people do not realise that a good story is more than a simple description of the basic mechanics of a game, and it’s important that they take in the idea that this story is part of a greater story.
“A good story needs to have an emotional element,” he has said.
